My journey into Divahood began at my birth, but the price of admission was a life of unfortunate difficulty. This difficult life molded and transformed me into a vibrant, wise, and resilient woman … a Diva.

So, what is a Diva you ask? How could being a Diva relate to investing in real estate? Although it might not be apparent at first, there is one thing which is clear: the connection between my personal happiness and my financial success are directly correlated. This connection is the crucial link to my success in real estate.

The definition of Diva is multi-dimensional and can operate in many different forms. A Diva is a distinguished and extraordinary woman. A Diva is a woman who embraces her femininity and enjoys and relishes in the beauty of who she is. She is bold and expressive. She is deliberate and creative. A Diva is a goddess who is conscious of her brilliant intellect and her nurturing soul. She ventures deep within herself with reverence and a deep appreciation of the gifts life has granted her. Her strength is her love and compassion for herself and others. Her power lies in her humility, kindness, and ability to face challenges with grace and wisdom. She trusts the process and flow of life. A Diva is a healer, a life giver and a composer of the melody of life. She is neither shy, nor abrupt, but is persuasive and pure as she lives the life of a goddess. A Diva taps into her feminine energy and the unlimited potential of creatorship. Her true gift is being a woman who loves and respects the imperfections within herself and rejoices in living life as a Diva.

Consequently for me, the connection between being a Diva and a real estate investor became quite simple. As these two worlds melded and as the substance of me was being transformed from a restricted life into one of unlimited potential, the path to my true wealth was gradually revealed. It was a slow, one foot in front of the other walk, but little by little I learned to trust myself as I progressed towards true self-sufficiency and wealth. However, the number one fuel required to reach my ultimate goals was courage. Looking back, I realize the potency of my bravery and the exceedingly powerful return of my investment.

The first step on the path to my rebirth began with gaining some deeper insight and understanding of me as a person. How, you might ask, did I succeed at such a feat? I understood that I must triumph over my personal challenges, which for many years had prevented me from becoming the potential woman I knew I could be. As my journey to independence began and my quotient of knowledge in real estate investing began to excel, nagging thoughts and feelings emerged and countered my increasing confidence, thoughts about not being good enough or smart enough.

These beliefs were my specters, a source of terror which inhibited my growth as a person, and kept me paralyzed and trapped in a life which was fearful, abusive, and even self-destructive. As I became more aware of what I wanted to accomplish with my investments, I continued to find reasons or excuses to not take that next step, the step of making and finalizing purchases. I was gripped with fear and inadequacy even though I knew in my core that I had the knowledge and wisdom to be successful.

I began to understand the immobilizing and destructive impact of negativity. I gradually began to comprehend the sheer power of the negative messages and images that fueled my world, beginning from childhood and continuing well into my marriage. I began to see how the subtle programming of these messages, which constantly reminded me that I was not good enough to do anything on my own, had impaired me; my roots of insecurity ran deep. I was finally able to accept and recognize my shortcomings. I recognized that the first step towards becoming a Diva was to examine and transform the beliefs which had kept me frozen, too fearful to take action.

In this book I will explore my story of self- examination and self-discovery, some of the questions I asked myself, and the consequent steps that followed in my long and arduous initiation into Divahood. My life as a Diva is a result of many different facets working together to change my life. From my family to my relationships and my career, positive thinking and a strong attitude helped me achieve my success and status of Millionaire Diva.
